Question about the Brother SE400 Computerized Embroidery and Sewing Machine?
Does this embroidery machine work with HUS, PES, and DST formats?
PES.
If you already have designs in the other formats, they can be converted by using Pulse Ambassador (a free download).
Only .pes and .dst embroidery data files can be used with the Brother SE400. You might be able to find software that coverts the hus format.
The .dst format has some limitations:
1. .dst data is displayed in the pattern list screen by filename only (the actual image cannot be displayed). Only the first eight characters of the file name can be displayed.
2. Since Tajima (.dst) data does not contain specific thread color information, it is displayed with Brother’s default thread color sequence. Check the preview and change the thread colors as desired.
