Anyone know where I can find some websites with free cross stitch embroidery patterns, transfers, or designs?
I plan on making gifts this year for Christmas, including some cross stitch emboidery. But I am having trouble finding some free patterns. I do not want the counted cross stitch patterns…just the emboidery patterns with the X’s. Does anyone know any websites to search through in order to find some patterns? I’m not really looking for anything in particular. I’ll just know it when I see it.

the DMC website has a lot of free designs, http://www.dmc-usa.com/majic/pageServer/1z010000ky/en_US/Free-Cross-Stitch-Designs.html. I got a lot of sites when I Googled "free cross stitch embroidery designs."
Just an idea…I made ornaments once by cross stitching 4 mittens. I then cut them out. On each end of a piece of ribbon about 6 inches long, I hot glued two of the mittens together. I "hung" the mittens on a branch of the tree.

Yes I found one where most of the cross stitch is free. Very nice ones. I have downloaded many: http://www.Rickscharts.com try this or http://www.cross-stitchers-club.com/all-free-embroidery-patterns#
If you can’t get them go to google.com and put in the addresses and they should come up that way.
