Amit Patel & Reshma Patel – North Hindu Cinematic Wedding Highlights (Richard Nixon Library)
On July 24, 2010, Amit and Reshma married at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California. The baraat began at 10:30 am, Amit arrived on a horse drawn carriage with his friends and family dancing alongside. As the guest approached the ceremony site, the entire ceremonial area was canopied with long pieces of yellow material, the mandap was uniquely crafted with four columns embellished with wooden branches. All of the decor was created by Smita Mohindra. Starting promptly at 11:00 am, Pundit Dilip Bhatt began the Hindu ceremony. Reshma wore a stunning burgundy lehnga accented with gold embroidery detail, she looked stunning! Following the ceremony, they held a viddai ceremony to send off Amit and Reshma.
When I first spoke with Amit, we were not offering the Canon 5D Mark II camera. During the time that Reshma & Amit were planning their wedding, they started to notice more weddings getting covered with this fabulous camera. Amit called me and inquired about changing his package and adding on a Same-Day-Edit. We covered the morning and ceremony, then edited down all the footage before the reception starts. It was ready to be played at the reception to share with their friends and family. Everyone always loves the same-day-edits, it brings out all the emotions and memories that were created from earlier that day.
