    Thanks Jessica. …
Thanks Jessica. Actually the bobbin was in correctly. I just cleaned the machine (the race was filthy), changed the needle and rethreaded the machine. Voila! Everything’s fine now.

Not a problem. I made this video because no one had a good video on it. So I figured it’s best to share knowledge. You may need service on your machine. It’s well worth it.

    First of all, …
First of all, THANK YOU so much for your prompt reply. I changed my tension. That didn’t work either. I’m soooo bummed. I’m going to rewind the bobbin thread and if that doesn’t work, I’ll try a new needle. I don’t know what else to do. I love your embroidery tutorial. That’s how I actually learned to use the embroidery feature of my machine – by watching your tutorial! THANKS!

    I have a Brother …
I have a Brother 950D and have been having issues with the upper thread getting stuck an looping on the bottom of the fabric. The fabric doesn’t seem to be feeding properly. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting in the manual and it is still happening. Any words of wisdom?

    Thanks, I had to …
Thanks, I had to make this video…I couldn’t find a decent one out there. As for the bobbin, We did a test when we first go this. You can leave black or white in there, but the problem is, it starts to bleed through…little strands of white or black. If it’s a dark thread, I think black shouldn’t be a problem, but for the best results, you should switch the bobbin. We purchased a ton of bobbins for each color we had. It’s very easy to switch out the bobbin without messing up the design.

    I was wondering, …
I was wondering, does the thread at the bottom have to be the same color as the one that’s threaded through your needle? Or are basic colors like black and white fine too?

This is a great and helpful video by the way. Thank you for showing the complete process of embroidering a design.

No, this machine is a lower end machine. It doesn’t support Cutaway.

    No, by “cutaway”, I …
No, by “cutaway”, I mean embroidery that cuts away the interior of a segment and then makes a heavy embroidered path around the edge and even sometimes embroiders rows to help stabilize larger cutaway projects….if that makes any sense.

    Well this model is …
Well this model is discontinued, but I think they have a 950D or something like that…it just has more designs. I bought it on eBay actually, and only spent like $400 on it. I think it retailed for $600 new. Brother makes really good design software as well. When you mean cutaway embroidery, do you mean appliques??? If so, yes this machine does that.

    Say, how much did …
Say, how much did this fabulous beast cost you? (I’d love it if the manufacturer’s websites would at least give an estimated price, especially when licensed dealers are so far away from me!) I’m planning to buy my own hopefully early next year. It this model capable of cutaway embroidery? Something else I must look into is if design software allows for me to also design my own cutaway embroidery on my Mac–I’m a Mc brat! BTW, that’s a very nice ring you’re wearing!

    Some of the Disney …
Some of the Disney designs were built into the machine, and most are from the memory cards you can purchase from Brother or Ebay. Please keep in mind though, if you own a brother machine and the model number doesn’t have a “D” at the end of it, it doesn’t support Disney Brother Cards at all. You need to have a machine that has a “D” at the end of the model number. Mine is the Innovis 900D.
